Founded in 2011, Heavens Eleven Football Club is more than just a team it is a community rooted in faith, resilience, and a deep commitment to nurturing young talent. The Genesis of Heavens Eleven

The inception of Heavens Eleven traces back to a quiet evening at York University, where I was engrossed in writing an essay about the genocide in Rwanda. As I delved into the heartbreaking images and stories of loss and resilience, I was moved deeply. That moment of reflection sparked a calling within me: to harness the unifying power of sports, particularly football, to reach children and youth in Ontario who need hope, direction, and purpose.

The name “Heavens” embodies my Christian values representing divine guidance, hope, and a higher calling. The “Eleven” pays homage to the fundamental team of football, comprising eleven players, symbolizing unity, teamwork, and collective strength. Together, these elements reflect our core belief that sport can serve as a vessel for spiritual growth and community building.
